An important humanist text, heavily influenced by Platina's experiences in and out of papal favor in Rome. Period or early annotations throughout, often trimmed by a later binder.

Venetia [i.e. Venice]: Michele Tramezzino, 1563. [20], 374, [2 blank], [12] leaves. Translated into Italian. Quarto. Later parchment, spine title lettered in ink. Light binding wear and soling, spine somewhat wormed. Outer margin of title page repaired, some stains (including dampstaining) and foxing throughout, especially to latter part of text; ownership inscriptions and old library marks to title and spine (Société de Lecture, Geneva), spine, and several other locations.
