Collection of detailed prints illustrating fables on fine paper. Giorgio Fossati (1706-1778) was an architect and printmaker whose training shows here in his exceptional rendering of both realistic animals and detailed representations of baroque architecture. Rarely found complete.

including black, sanguine, gray, green, and bistre; additional woodcut
illustrations in text.
Period calf. Binding somewhat dry and rubbed, much of lettering pieces no longer present, some areas of spine a bit cracked affecting the binding (may split with handling. Light signs of age and offsetting inside, but generally as clean as usually found or better. Very Good+. Item #264
