Harrington(?); owner mark of W. Boerum, U.S. Navy to title page. William Boerum (1796-1842) served in the War of 1812 as a midshipman at the age of 16; in 1840, he would become Commander of the USS Concord, dying following its shipwreck off the coast of modern-day Mozambique in 1842.
