Elocution book, the introduction stressing the importance of skills in oratory in public life. The guide includes numerous examples and theoretical instruction in the art of speaking and composition. The author may be Louis-François-Henri Lefébure (1754-1840), who authored a 1794 pamphlet, "Constitution de gouvernement pour la nation française," as well as several other educational texts. Rare: I have only been able to locate one institutional copy of this work, via WorldCat/OCLC, KVK search, & NUC Pre-1956 Imprints, which is in the Bibliothèque Nationale de France; I also could find no record of any trade or auction offerings (ViaLibri, Abe Books, Rare Book Hub), nor any other editions of this work.

Early calf-backed boards; it appears the binding may have parchment corners under the paper covering. Light to moderate binding rubbing, wormhole to spine, headband detached.
